GM LS Billet Aluminum Engine Oil Filter Bypass Valve Delete Plug
This billet aluminum oil filter bypass valve delete plug replaces the factory bypass check valve in compatible GM LS Gen III/IV engines. The factory bypass valve can open during oil pressure surges — particularly on cold startups — allowing unfiltered oil to reach engine bearings and lifters. This delete plug seals the bypass passage in the oil filter adapter housing, keeping only filtered oil in circulation.
Use it during an oil filter change on compatible LS engines where the bypass valve is located in the oil filter adapter housing. Confirm engine generation, adapter housing style, and bypass valve location before installation. Not compatible with bypass valves located in the oil pan.
