Description

This billet aluminum delete plug replaces the factory oil filter bypass check valve on GM LS Gen III/IV engines, sealing the bypass passage so oil continues through the filter media rather than bypassing it if the filter becomes restricted.

Because this removes a factory safety feature, it's intended for engines running a quality, low-restriction oil filter with regular change intervals — if the filter clogs on an engine with this plug installed, unfiltered oil will not reach the bearings and lifters the way it would with the stock bypass valve in place. Confirm your oil filter adapter housing matches the stock GM LS Gen III/IV design before ordering, and consider your filter quality and change habits before choosing to delete this feature.
