Description

This 1-piece steel timing cover is built to replace a cracked, warped, or leaking factory timing cover on Chevy big block Gen II (Mark IV) engines — 396, 402, 427, and 454 CID. The 1-piece plain design seals the timing chain area while giving the front of the engine a clean, finished appearance in chrome.

This is a bare cover — crankshaft seal, gaskets, and bolts are not included and should be sourced separately. It's built specifically for long water pump configurations — confirm your engine uses a long, not short, water pump before ordering, along with balancer clearance and sensor provisions.


Applications
Fits Chevrolet big block V8 Gen II (Mark IV) engines: 6.5L/396, 6.6L/402, 7.0L/427, and 7.4L/454 CID, long water pump configuration only. Common on Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, C10/C-K trucks, Corvette, Impala, and Caprice big block applications, as well as street, strip, and rebuild builds.
