Early GM inline-six engines — including the 194, 216, 235, and 261 CID — are among the most difficult applications to source modern ignition components for. Whether you're restoring a Chevrolet Bel Air, Biscayne, Task Force truck, or Advance Design truck, or building a performance street driver on an early Stovebolt or Blue Flame inline-six, this TSP Pro Series Ready-to-Run distributor is engineered specifically for these GM inline-six engines through the 1962 model year. It will not fit GM inline-six engines produced after 1962.
This distributor also fits the Toyota Land Cruiser inline-six — the 3.9L "F" engine (used through approximately 1974) and the 4.2L "2F" engine (1975–1987) — making it one of the few ready-to-run performance distributors available for the FJ40, FJ55, and FJ60 platform. Land Cruiser owners running contact-point ignition on an aging distributor will find the circuit board module and magnetic pick-up trigger to be a significant reliability upgrade for trail, overland, and street use.
