What's the difference between center-bolt and perimeter-bolt valve covers?
Center-bolt covers mount with bolts running through the center of the cover into the head, used on later Gen I SBC heads (1987-2000). Perimeter-bolt covers mount around the outer edge, used on earlier Gen I SBC heads. The two are not interchangeable.

What's the difference between this and the 3-11/16" tall version?
This cover is 2-9/16" external height. TSP also offers a taller 3-11/16" version (SKU 53VC8528P) for builds needing more valvetrain clearance. Both are center-bolt style, 1987-2000 Gen I SBC.
