Description

03-07 GM LS Truck Drive-by-Wire Engine and 4L60E 15-Pin Transmission Wiring Harness

This 03-07 GM LS Truck Drive-by-Wire Engine and 4L60E 15-Pin Transmission Wiring Harness is built for standalone Drive-by-Wire engine management with 4L60E automatic transmission. The harness integrates the fuse/relay box, sensor connectors, engine control wiring, fuel pump control, fan control, OBD2 connection, and supporting outputs needed for a clean LS/LT engine control installation.

Use this harness when the engine code, throttle type, transmission connector, ECU strategy, and sensor layout match the compatibility section. Confirm transmission pin count, pedal and throttle body requirements, oxygen sensor layout, MAP/MAF connections, and power/ground routing before installation.

Engine Fitment

COMPATIBLE WITH
• 2003-2007 Trucks
• 2003-2007 GM LS Truck engines with drive-by-wire throttle control
Transmission side: matches the 15-pin connector used on 2005-2008 4L60E automatic transmissions (connector design carried over past the 2007 engine cutoff)

NOTES
• Standalone harness — requires a compatible PCM/ECM matched to your engine code and TAC (throttle actuator control) module.
• Confirm TAC module style before ordering: 2003–2006 (and 2007 "Classic" body style) trucks use the plastic TAC module with metal mounting bracket; earlier all-plastic TAC modules are not interchangeable.
• Confirm accelerator pedal style: 2003–2005 trucks use a steel-arm pedal; 2006-and-later trucks use a redesigned plastic-arm pedal with a different connector — pedal and TAC sub-harness must match.
• Verify your 4L60E's connector pin count and pinout before installation, since transmission connector design can vary by production year within this window.
• Does not include a PCM/ECM, throttle body, or accelerator pedal — confirm these separately before ordering.

COMMON VEHICLE APPLICATIONS
- Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra (2003–2007)
- Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, GMC Yukon/Yukon XL (2003–2007)
- Escalade (2003–2006)
- Hummer H2 (2003–2007)
- Chevrolet Avalanche (2003–2007)
- LS engine swap applications using a 2003–2007 truck-style DBW engine and 4L60E transmission

Q&A

What year trucks and transmissions is this harness compatible with?
This standalone wiring harness is designed for 2003–2007 GM LS truck engines with drive-by-wire throttle control and is compatible with 4L60E automatic transmissions that use the 15-pin transmission connector found on many 2005–2008 applications.

Does this include a PCM/ECM?
No. This is a standalone engine wiring harness and does not include a PCM/ECM. A compatible PCM/ECM matched to your engine, TAC module, and vehicle configuration is required.

How do I know which TAC module I need?
This harness is designed for the 2003–2006 GM truck TAC module and the 2007 Classic body style trucks, which use a plastic TAC module with a metal mounting bracket. Earlier all-plastic TAC modules are not compatible.

Does the accelerator pedal matter?
Yes. The accelerator pedal, TAC module, and TAC sub-harness must all match. Most 2003–2005 GM trucks use a steel-arm accelerator pedal, while most 2006-and-later trucks use a plastic-arm pedal with a different connector.

What's included in this harness kit?
This harness includes wiring for the fuse/relay box, fuel pump control, electric fan controls, OBD2 diagnostic port, accelerator pedal and throttle body control, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor, alternator control, two upstream oxygen sensors, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, fuel injectors, coil packs, transmission control, and knock sensors.

Does this include the throttle body or accelerator pedal?
No. The throttle body and accelerator pedal are not included and must be purchased separately. Be sure to select components that match the required TAC module and harness configuration.

Will this work for an LS swap into a non-truck vehicle?
Yes. This harness is commonly used for LS engine swaps, provided the engine, TAC module, accelerator pedal, PCM/ECM, and 4L60E transmission connector all match the harness specifications.

Do I need to verify my 4L60E's connector before ordering?
Yes. The 4L60E transmission connector configuration can vary by model year. Verify that your transmission uses the correct 15-pin connector before ordering to ensure compatibility.
