These valve covers are built for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 (302 CID), covering 2011–2014 and 2015–2017 engines. They are not compatible with the 2018–2023 Gen 3 Coyote (307 in³) — Gen 3 uses a different bore size, coil pack layout, and PCV/breather location, so Gen 1/2 and Gen 3+ valve covers are not interchangeable.

Construction is billet aluminum with a black surface, using a perimeter-bolt mounting pattern and a one-piece O-ring gasket for even sealing across the cover. The set includes mounting hardware, grommets, an oil filler cap, dipstick provision, and evaporator hose fitting block-offs, so it installs as a complete package.

Coil covers are not included with this set.

Installation

Does this fit the 2018 or newer Coyote engine?
No. These valve covers are designed for Gen I (2011–2014) and Gen II (2015–2017) Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 engines only. They are not compatible with the Gen III (2018–2023) or newer Coyote engines, which feature revised cylinder heads, ignition coil mounting, and PCV/breather configurations.

How do I know if my F-150 has a Gen I/II or Gen III Coyote?
Ford F-150 model years do not always align with Mustang GT Coyote generation changes. Verify your engine generation before ordering, as Gen I and Gen II Coyote engines use different valve cover configurations than Gen III engines.

Is this the same as a "Ford Modular" valve cover?
No. These valve covers are designed specifically for the Ford 5.0L Coyote DOHC V8 engine. They are not compatible with earlier Ford Modular 4.6L or 5.4L SOHC or DOHC engines, which use a different cylinder head and valve cover design.

Yes. These valve covers are compatible with engine swap applications using a Gen I or Gen II Ford 5.0L Coyote long block. They are not compatible with Gen III or newer Coyote engines.
