Description

This harmonic balancer bolt is manufactured from heat-treated 35 chromoly steel with a minimum tensile strength of 190,000 PSI, providing secure crankshaft damper retention for GM Gen III and Gen IV LS engines. The 12-point head design eases socket engagement during installation and removal.

It's designed for LS engines from 4.8L (293 in³) through 6.2L (376 in³) — including LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LQ4, and LQ9 applications — and finished in black oxide with an oil coating for corrosion resistance. This kit does not fit LS7 engines.

Fits GM LS Series V8 engines: 4.8L/293 in³ (LR4, LY2), 5.3L/325 in³ (LM7, L59, L33, LC9, LH6, LY5, LMG), 5.7L/346 in³ (LS1, LS6), 6.0L/364 in³ (LQ4, LQ9, LY6, L76, L96), and 6.2L/376 in³ (LS2, LS3, L92, L99, LSA). Not compatible with LS7 (7.0L/427 in³), Gen I Small Block Chevy, Gen V LT, or Big Block Chevy engines.

Installation
Threads are rolled after heat treatment and tested for tensile and yield strength. Torque to 240 ft-lbs for proper crankshaft damper retention.
