Description

This cylinder head stud kit is manufactured from heat-treated 35 chromoly steel with a minimum tensile strength of 190,000 PSI, designed for Ford Small Block Windsor 289 and 302 engines. Stud-style fasteners help guide the cylinder head into position during assembly while providing strong, consistent clamping force for improved head gasket sealing.

Threads are rolled after heat treatment and finished in black oxide with an oil coating for corrosion resistance. This kit is not compatible with 351C Cleveland, 351M, 400M, FE, or 385-series Big Block Ford engines.


Applications
Fits Ford Small Block Windsor 289 (4.7L) and 302 (5.0L) engines, including Mustang, F-Series, Bronco, Falcon/Fairlane, and Mercury Cougar applications.

Installation
Torque in three steps: 25 ft-lbs, then 50 ft-lbs, then 85 ft-lbs. Verify cylinder head design, stud length, and washer requirements before installation.
