Q&A

What's the difference between this kit and TSP's standard 429/460 bolt kit?
This kit is designed specifically for Edelbrock RPM-style cylinder heads, while the standard kit is intended as a factory-style replacement. Material, finish, head style, and torque specifications are the same across both.

Will this fit a 429 or 460?
Yes. This kit is designed for Ford 385-Series 429 and 460 big block engines using compatible Edelbrock RPM-style cylinder heads.

What torque sequence do I need to follow during installation?
Using the specified lubricant, torque in four steps: 40 ft-lbs, 70 ft-lbs, 100 ft-lbs, then 140 ft-lbs. Follow the proper cylinder head tightening sequence during each step.

Are these bolts or studs?
Bolts. This kit uses 12-point head bolts, not studs.

Will this fit a Ford FE or Windsor engine?
No. This kit is designed specifically for Ford 385-Series 429/460 engines and is not compatible with FE, Windsor, Cleveland, or Coyote engines.

Will these bolts work for a performance build?
