Description
Pontiac's V8 lineup spans both short-deck (265, 301) and standard-deck (326 through 455) engine architectures, and this chrome-plated steel pan is built to fit both. It covers Pontiac V8 displacements from 4.3L (265 in³) through 7.5L (455 in³), including 301, 326, 350, 389, 400, 421, and 428 cubic inches.
The pan holds 4 quarts and includes internal baffling to help manage oil movement during acceleration and cornering. It uses a wet-sump design with the sump located at the rear, matching the factory 2-piece rear main seal Pontiac V8 layout. It has a 1/2"-20 drain plug thread with the drain plug included. The gasket, oil pickup, windage tray, and dipstick are not included and will need to be sourced separately to complete installation.
This pan does not fit 347 or 370 cubic-inch stroker configurations.
Constructed from steel with a chrome finish, the pan adds a polished, show-quality appearance to Pontiac V8 engine bays.
