Description

This is a GM Type II (Saginaw TC series) hydraulic power steering pump with a screw-on pulley hub, finished in chrome — with no reservoir included. It's built for remote reservoir power steering configurations, where the reservoir is mounted separately from the pump rather than integral to it. A compatible remote power steering reservoir must be sourced separately before installation.

This pump features a -10AN female inlet and -6AN female outlet, making it a common choice for builds running braided AN-style hose connections. The screw-on pulley hub eliminates the need for a press-fit pulley tool during installation, making pulley swaps and setup more straightforward than press-on shaft designs. A compatible pulley is still required and sold separately.

It's commonly used on GM LS engine swap projects, Corvette accessory drive systems, custom street rod and muscle car builds, and serpentine accessory drive conversions running a GM Type II bracket system with a remote reservoir configuration. Mounting hardware is not included. Verify bracket compatibility, remote reservoir clearance, inlet/outlet port style, pulley compatibility, and hose routing before installation. Fill and bleed the system after installation.

Bare Type II Pump for Remote Reservoir Power Steering Configurations
This GM Type II (Saginaw TC series) pump delivers hydraulic power steering assist without an integral reservoir — built specifically for remote reservoir setups where the reservoir is mounted separately from the pump. It features a screw-on pulley hub, -10AN female inlet, and -6AN female outlet in a chrome aluminum housing.

Screw-On Hub and AN Fittings Simplify Custom Accessory Drive Builds
The screw-on pulley hub eliminates the press-fit tool requirement during pulley installation, and the -10AN/-6AN AN fitting configuration suits braided hose setups common in LS swap, Corvette, and custom serpentine builds. A compatible pulley and remote reservoir are required and sold separately.

Q&A

Does this pump include a reservoir?
No — this pump has no integral or remote reservoir included. It is designed for remote reservoir configurations; a compatible remote power steering reservoir must be sourced and mounted separately before the system can be filled and operated.

How does this pump differ from other Type II pumps in this lineup?
This pump has no reservoir — integral or otherwise — making it the right choice for remote reservoir power steering setups. It also features a screw-on pulley hub and -10AN/-6AN AN fittings. Other Type II pumps in this lineup include integral reservoirs of varying sizes and different inlet/outlet port styles.

What inlet and outlet port sizes does this pump use?
A -10AN female inlet and -6AN female outlet, suited for braided hose accessory drive setups.

Do I need a special tool to install the pulley?
No — this pump uses a screw-on pulley hub, eliminating the need for a press-fit pulley tool. A compatible pulley is still required and sold separately.

Is the pulley included?
No, a compatible GM Type II power steering pulley is required and sold separately.

What remote reservoir will work with this pump?
A compatible GM Type II remote power steering reservoir with -10AN inlet fitting is required — TSP offers compatible reservoirs separately.

Does this fit an LS engine swap?
Yes, it's commonly used on GM LS engine swap projects running a Type II pump bracket system with a remote reservoir.

Will this work with a Corvette accessory drive?
Yes, it's commonly used on Corvette-style and custom serpentine accessory drive systems.

Does mounting hardware come included?
No, mounting hardware is not included.

Do I need to bleed the system after installation?
Yes, fill and properly bleed the power steering system before operating the vehicle.
