Description

This is a GM Type II (Saginaw TC series) hydraulic power steering pump with a satin aluminum housing — with no reservoir included. It's built for remote reservoir power steering configurations, where the reservoir is mounted separately from the pump rather than integral to it. A compatible remote power steering reservoir must be sourced separately before installation.

This pump features a -10AN female inlet and -6AN female outlet for braided hose accessory drive setups, and a smooth press-on shaft for press-fit pulley attachment. A compatible press-fit pulley and press-fit installation tool are required — the smooth shaft is not compatible with screw-on hub pulleys or keyed-shaft pulley designs.

It's commonly used on GM LS engine swap projects, Corvette accessory drive systems, custom serpentine accessory drive conversions, and street rod and muscle car builds running a GM Type II bracket system with a remote reservoir configuration. The satin finish offers a clean natural aluminum appearance suited to understated, unfinished, or natural-look engine bays where chrome or black finishes aren't preferred — and at a lower price point than the chrome and black versions. Mounting hardware is not included. Verify bracket compatibility, remote reservoir clearance, inlet/outlet port style, pulley fit, and hose routing before installation. Fill and bleed the system after installation.

Press-On Shaft Requires a Pulley Tool and Compatible Press-Fit Pulley
This pump uses a smooth press-on shaft — not a screw-on hub or keyed shaft. Installation requires the proper press-fit pulley tool; pressing a pulley on or off without one can damage the shaft. A compatible press-fit GM Type II pulley is required and sold separately.
