Description
TSP's chrome low-mount hardline solves a real clearance problem on GM Type II (Saginaw TC-series) power steering pumps: the stock hose connection sits close to the pulley, leaving little room to work in tight engine bays. This hardline moves that connection down and away from the pulley, freeing up clearance for accessory drive changes, engine swaps, or header/clearance-sensitive builds.
It features a banjo fitting on one end and a -6AN fitting on the other, letting you adapt your GM Type II pump to a more common AN hose setup. Mounting bracket, hardware, and O-rings are included, and the chrome finish matches other dress-up components in a show-quality engine bay.
This hardline is designed specifically for GM Type II (Saginaw TC-series) power steering pumps — it is not compatible with GM Saginaw P-series pumps, which use a different pump body and fitting layout entirely.
Applications
Fits GM Type II (Saginaw TC-series) power steering pumps, commonly found in Chevy/GM serpentine accessory drive conversions and applications where pulley clearance is tight, such as engine swaps and show car builds.
Installation
Bolts on using the included mounting bracket and hardware; O-rings are included for the fitting connections. Confirm your existing hose routing and pump orientation before installing, since the low-mount position is designed to clear specific pulley/bracket layouts.
Fitting Configuration
Banjo fitting on the pump-side connection, -6AN on the hose-side connection — designed to let you run standard AN steering hose instead of a stock-style hard line.

NOTES
- Designed for GM Type II (Saginaw TC-series) pumps only — not compatible with Saginaw P-series pump fittings (different thread/fitting style, SAE inverted flare vs. banjo).
- "Low-mount" configuration is bracket-position specific — confirm your accessory drive uses a low-mount (not high-mount) pump bracket before ordering, as hardline length/routing differs between the two.
- Verify banjo bolt thread size and port orientation on your specific pump before installation.
- O-ring/crush washer condition should be checked or replaced at the banjo fitting to prevent leaks.
COMMON VEHICLE APPLICATIONS
- Chevrolet Camaro (1982–2002)
- Chevrolet Corvette (1984–2004, C4/C5)
- Chevrolet/GMC C/K Series Trucks and SUVs (late 1980s–2000s)
- LS-engine swap applications (common retrofit target)
Q&A
What does this hardline actually do?
This power steering hardline relocates the hose connection on a GM Type II power steering pump down and away from the pulley, providing additional clearance for tight engine bays, engine swaps, and custom accessory drive systems.
What pumps is this compatible with?
This hardline is designed specifically for GM Type II (Saginaw TC-series) power steering pumps. It is not compatible with Saginaw P-series pumps, which use a different pump body and fitting configuration.
What fittings does this use?
The pump side uses a banjo fitting, while the hose side features a -6AN male fitting for connection to standard -6AN hose.
Does this include mounting hardware and O-rings?
Yes. The kit includes the mounting bracket, mounting hardware, and O-rings needed for installation.
Will this work with my stock power steering hose, or do I need AN hose?
This hardline uses a -6AN hose connection, so it requires -6AN hose and compatible AN fittings. It is not designed to connect directly to a factory-style power steering hard line or hose.
