Description
LS engines use a one-bolt design to secure the oil pump pickup tube, which can work loose under hard acceleration, cornering, or high-RPM use, causing a drop in oil pressure. This aluminum girdle bolts over the factory pickup tube connection to hold it securely in place, fitting Chevrolet small block V8 Gen. III/IV (LS-based) engines: 4.8L (293 in³), 5.3L (325 in³), 5.7L (346 in³), 6.0L (364 in³), and 6.2L (376 in³).
It's commonly used in Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro (LS1, LS6, LS2, LS3); Pontiac GTO and G8 (LS1, LS2, L76); Cadillac CTS-V (LS6, LSA); Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS and SSR (LS2); Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L truck engines); Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L); Cadillac Escalade (6.0L, 6.2L); and Hummer H2 (6.0L).
