Product Details

Features

  • Rubber-with-steel construction seals Ford Cleveland/Modified valve cover surfaces
  • 3/16" thickness gasket material for consistent sealing under clamp load
  • Fits Ford 351C, 351M, and 400 "335 series" V8 engines — not 351W
  • Sold as a pair — complete gasket set for both valve covers

Description

The Ford 351C / 351M / 400 Rubber Valve Cover Gaskets seal the mating surface between Ford "335 series" valve covers and the cylinder head to help prevent oil leaks. Rubber-with-steel construction at 3/16" thickness is built to match the 351C/351M/400 gasket rail pattern, so bolt pattern and sealing surface must match your specific application for proper installation.

This gasket set fits the Ford Cleveland "335" V8 (5.8L/351, commonly called 351C) and the Ford Modified "335" V8 (5.8L/351, commonly called 351M, and 6.6L/400). This gasket does not fit the Ford Windsor 351 (351W) — the 351W uses a different valve cover design and is not interchangeable with the 335-series engines this gasket is built for.

Sold as a pair, covering both valve covers in a typical installation. Verify bolt pattern, sealing surface, and gasket material before installation, and replace worn gaskets during valve cover service or a fresh installation.

Applications
Fits the Ford Cleveland "335" V8 (351C) and Ford Modified "335" V8 (351M, 400). Does not fit the Ford Windsor 351 (351W) — a different engine family with a different valve cover design.

Q&A

Does this gasket fit a 351 Windsor (351W)?
No. This gasket is designed for Ford Cleveland "335" V8 (351C) and Ford Modified "335" V8 (351M and 400) engines. It is not compatible with the 351 Windsor (351W), which uses a different valve cover design.

What does this gasket fit?
This gasket set fits Ford Cleveland "335" V8 5.8L (351 CID, 351C) and Ford Modified "335" V8 5.8L (351M) and 6.6L (400 CID) valve cover applications.

What is this gasket made from?
These gaskets are manufactured from rubber with a steel core, measuring 3/16 inch thick, for excellent durability, gasket retention, and sealing performance.

How many gaskets come in this set?
This kit includes two valve cover gaskets, providing a complete set for both valve covers.

What's the difference between 351C, 351M, and 351W?
The 351 Cleveland (351C) and 351 Modified (351M) share the 335-series valve cover design used by this gasket. The 351 Windsor (351W) belongs to Ford's Windsor engine family and uses a different valve cover bolt pattern and gasket, making it incompatible with this set.

When should I replace this gasket?
Replace the gasket whenever servicing or removing the valve covers, or if the existing gasket shows signs of wear, cracking, compression, or oil leakage.

Does this gasket affect emissions compliance?
No. This product does not affect vehicle emissions and is not subject to emissions compliance regulations.
