Description

Replace your 1988–1991 Ford 5.8L/351W truck or van's factory EFI distributor with this TSP Hall-effect distributor, built for computer-controlled ignition systems with a distributor-mounted module — matching the factory configuration used on Bronco, E-150/E-250/E-350, and F-150/F-250/F-350 applications from these years. Because timing is managed by the vehicle's computer, this distributor is matched to the factory-style advance curve rather than a mechanical or vacuum advance mechanism.

This distributor is built specifically for computer-controlled 5.8L/351W truck and van applications with a distributor-mounted module and is not designed for car applications. The housing is aluminum with a steel drive gear best matched to cast iron hydraulic or solid flat-tappet camshafts, and rotation is counterclockwise. Requires a coil matched to the vehicle's factory computer-controlled system, along with a 12-volt electrical system with an alternator.
