Description
GM's aluminum-case Powerglide transmission, produced from 1962 through 1973, uses a dipstick configuration matched by this chrome steel dipstick. It mounts at the firewall and routes to the transmission case.
This dipstick is not compatible with the earlier cast-iron-case Powerglide (1950-1962), which uses a different dipstick tube boss location.
It's commonly used in Powerglide-equipped Chevrolet Camaro, Chevelle, and Nova (1962-1973); Chevrolet Corvette (through 1968); and Pontiac Firebird and GTO.
The dipstick measures 24 inches and uses a steel tube. It is a fixed, non-locking design.
Constructed with a chrome steel handle and tube, the dipstick adds a polished, show-quality appearance to the engine bay.
