Product Details

Features

  • Six-valve mechanical pump design improves flow and check-valve performance
  • 130 GPH flow at 12–16 PSI adjustable pressure for higher-demand carbureted setups
  • Requires a 5.75" fuel pump pushrod for proper SBC operation
  • 0.500 in. NPT ports (larger than TSP's standard 80 GPH/6 PSI SBC pump)

Description

Built for carbureted Chevy Small Block V8 (Gen. I) applications demanding higher fuel flow, this mechanical fuel pump uses a six-valve internal design to improve flow consistency and check-valve performance over a standard mechanical pump. It delivers 130 GPH at an adjustable 12–16 PSI, roughly double the flow and pressure of TSP's standard 80 GPH/6 PSI SBC mechanical pump — a good option for higher-horsepower or larger-carburetor setups needing more fuel volume.

As a mechanical pump, it draws its pumping action directly from the engine's camshaft via a pushrod — no electric pump, wiring, or power source is needed. This unit requires a 5.75" fuel pump pushrod for proper operation on Small Block Chevy engines, and uses larger 0.500 in. NPT inlet/outlet ports to support the higher flow rate.

This pump is designed for carbureted fuel systems and is not intended for EFI applications unless used with a properly designed and regulated fuel system conversion.

Applications
Fits Chevrolet Small Block V8 Gen. I engines (262–400 CID), commonly found in Camaro, Corvette, Chevelle, Nova, C/K trucks, and full-size Chevrolet applications — well-suited to higher-output carbureted builds needing more fuel volume than a standard-flow mechanical pump provides.

Installation
Requires a 5.75" fuel pump pushrod for correct operation on Small Block Chevy engines. Confirm 0.500 in. NPT port sizing matches your fuel line setup, and verify mounting pattern, pump arm style, and line clearance before installation. Mounting hardware is not included.

Q&A

Is this an electric or mechanical fuel pump?
This is a mechanical fuel pump that is driven directly by the engine's camshaft through a fuel pump pushrod. It requires no electrical wiring or external power source.

What does "six-valve" mean for this pump?
The six-valve design refers to the pump's internal check valve arrangement, which helps improve fuel flow consistency and pumping efficiency compared to a conventional mechanical fuel pump.

What's the pressure range on this pump?
This mechanical fuel pump delivers an adjustable fuel pressure range of 12 to 16 PSI and is designed for higher-performance carbureted fuel systems.

How does this compare to TSP's standard SBC mechanical pump?
This high-performance pump delivers up to 130 GPH with an adjustable 12–16 PSI pressure range, compared to TSP's standard mechanical fuel pump, which delivers 80 GPH at 6 PSI. It is intended for carbureted engines with greater fuel demand.

What pushrod does this pump require?
This pump requires a 5.75-inch fuel pump pushrod, which is specific to Chevrolet Small Block applications.

Is this pump for carbureted or EFI systems?
This pump is designed for carbureted fuel systems. It is not intended for EFI applications unless used as part of a properly engineered and regulated fuel system conversion.

Does this include mounting hardware?
No. Mounting hardware is not included and must be purchased separately.

What port size does this pump use?
The inlet and outlet ports feature 1/2-inch NPT threads, providing greater flow capacity than TSP's standard-flow Small Block Chevy mechanical fuel pump.
