Description

These steel dowel pins locate the cylinder head on the block of a Gen I small block Chevy V8. Correct head location helps keep the head gasket aligned with the block and combustion chambers, so the pins are worth replacing whenever the originals are damaged, missing, or worn during head service, rebuilds, or performance assemblies.

Fits Gen I Chevrolet small block V8 engines: 4.3L/262, 4.3L/265, 4.4L/267, 4.6L/283, 4.9L/302, 5.0L/305, 5.0L/307, 5.4L/327, 5.7L/350, and 6.6L/400 in³, including common 383 and 406 stroker builds. Common vehicles (SBC-equipped): Chevrolet Camaro (1967–1992), Chevelle (1964–1977), Nova (1962–1979), C10/C/K trucks (1960–1995), Corvette (1955–1991), and Impala/Caprice (not the 1994–1996 LT1).
