A worn, bent, or misaligned timing pointer makes it difficult to read your balancer's timing marks accurately, which can throw off ignition timing adjustments. This chrome steel timing pointer is adjustable, letting you fine-tune its position to align precisely with your balancer's timing marks. It's built to fit Chevrolet small block V8 Gen. I engines (265 through 400 cubic inches) and compatible GM 90-degree V6 applications, and is sized for an 8 inch harmonic balancer.

Mounting hardware is not included. It will not fit 4.3L V6 engines equipped with a balance shaft, since those use a different balancer and timing mark configuration.

Constructed from steel with a chrome finish, the pointer is built to hold up to normal engine bay heat and vibration while giving a clean, finished look at the front of the engine.

Applications
Fits Chevrolet small block V8 Gen. I engines: 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inches, and compatible GM 90-degree V6 (4.3L/262 in³) applications. Not compatible with 4.3L V6 engines equipped with a balance shaft.

Installation
Adjustable positioning allows the pointer to be aligned precisely with your balancer's timing marks. Mounting hardware is not included. Sized specifically for an 8 inch balancer diameter.
