A worn, bent, or missing timing pointer makes it difficult to read your balancer's timing marks accurately, which can throw off ignition timing adjustments. This chrome steel timing pointer is built to replace that pointer on Chevrolet small block V8 Gen. I engines (265 through 400 cubic inches) and compatible GM 90-degree V6 applications, and is sized for 6 to 8 inch harmonic balancers.

This is a fixed-position pointer, not an adjustable timing tab, and mounting hardware is not included. It will not fit 4.3L V6 engines equipped with a balance shaft, since those use a different balancer and timing mark configuration.

Constructed from steel with a chrome finish, the pointer is built to hold up to normal engine bay heat and vibration while giving a clean, finished look at the front of the engine.

Applications
Fits Chevrolet small block V8 Gen. I engines: 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inches, and compatible GM 90-degree V6 (4.3L/262 in³) applications. Not compatible with 4.3L V6 engines equipped with a balance shaft.
