Description

Build your rectangular-port LS engine with this bare aluminum cylinder head, engineered for high-performance applications. Featuring large 260cc rectangular intake runners, 68.4cc heart-shaped combustion chambers, and D-port exhaust ports, this head is designed to support the airflow demands of serious LS street, racing, and swap combinations — fitting 6.0L (L76/L77/L98) and 6.2L (LS3/L92/L99) applications.

The 260cc runner design provides substantially increased airflow capacity over many factory rectangular-port castings, making this a strong choice for larger-displacement LS engines, naturally aspirated performance builds, and power-adder applications. As a bare casting, it gives builders complete freedom to select valves, springs, retainers, seals, and valvetrain components matched to their specific camshaft profile and performance goals.

This head is also commonly run on LS7 blocks as a way to access a wider range of intake manifold options than the factory LS7 intake allows — an LS3-style intake manifold is required for this application, not the stock LS7 intake. Fits 4.00" bore and larger only; not compatible with 4.8L, 5.3L, or 5.7L engines. Sold individually — 2 required per engine.

Applications
Fits GM LS Series rectangular-port V8 engines: 6.0L/364 in³ (L76, L77, L98) and 6.2L/376 in³ (LS3, L92, L99, L9H). Also used on 7.0L/427 in³ (LS7 block) as a head-swap application to gain access to LS3-style intake manifold options. Common on Corvette (LS3, LS7 Z06), Camaro (L99, LS3, LS7 Z/28), Chevrolet SS (LS3), Pontiac G8 GXP (L76), Cadillac CTS-V (LS3-based), and 6.0L GM trucks/SUVs (Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade). Not compatible with 4.8L or 5.3L (3.780" bore) or 5.7L (3.898" bore) engines — requires 4.00" bore or larger.

Installation
Requires an LS3-style intake manifold — not a stock LS7 intake, even on LS7-block applications, since the factory LS7 intake doesn't match this head's port/bolt configuration. Not compatible with cathedral-port intake manifolds. As a bare casting, valves, springs, retainers, seals, and valvetrain components must be selected separately to match your camshaft and build. Sold individually; quantity of 2 required per engine.

Engine Fitment

COMPATIBLE WITH
GM LS Series V8 Engines — Rectangular Port
• 6.0L / 364 in³ (L76, L77, L98)
• 6.2L / 376 in³ (LS3, L92, L99, L9H)
• 7.0L / 427 in³ (LS7 block — head swap application, requires LS3-style intake manifold, not stock LS7 intake)

NOTES
• Requires an LS3-style intake manifold — not a stock LS7 intake manifold. Although the LS7 is also a rectangular-port head with a compatible bore size, its factory intake does not match this head's port/bolt configuration.
• It's common practice to run LS3-style heads (like this one) on an LS7 block specifically to gain access to a wider range of intake manifold options than the stock LS7 intake allows — but the customer needs an LS3-style intake to do so, not the factory LS7 intake.
• Not compatible with cathedral-port intake manifolds.
• Fits 4.00" bore and larger only — not compatible with 4.8L or 5.3L (3.780" bore) or 5.7L (3.898" bore) engines.
• Sold individually — quantity of 2 required per engine.

COMMON VEHICLE APPLICATIONS
Chevrolet Corvette (LS3, LS7 — Z06)
Chevrolet Camaro (L99, LS3, LS7 — Z/28)
Chevrolet SS (LS3)
Pontiac G8 GXP (L76)
Cadillac CTS-V (LS3-based applications)
Chevrolet/GMC 6.0L trucks and SUVs (Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade — L76/L77/L98)
LS7 block builds using this head as an LS3-style intake upgrade

Q&A

Is this a cathedral-port or rectangular-port head?
Rectangular port. This cylinder head is designed for LS applications using rectangular intake ports and is not compatible with cathedral-port intake manifolds.

Will this fit my LS7?
Yes, provided the combination uses a compatible LS3-style rectangular-port intake manifold. The factory LS7 intake manifold does not match this head's intake port and bolt configuration.

Does this fit a 5.3L or 5.7L LS engine?
No. This head requires a 4.00" bore or larger and is not recommended for 4.8L/5.3L engines with a 3.780" bore or 5.7L LS1/LS6 engines with a 3.898" bore.

Will this fit an LS3 Camaro or Corvette?
Yes. This head is designed for compatible 6.2L LS3/L92-family applications, including LS3-powered Camaro and Corvette builds.

Does this head fit a 6.0L truck engine?
It can fit compatible 6.0L LS-based engines with a 4.00" bore, provided the engine is configured for LS3/L92-style rectangular-port heads and intake components. Verify your specific engine combination before ordering.

Does this come assembled, or do I need to source my own valvetrain?
This is a bare cylinder head casting. Valves, springs, retainers, seals, and other valvetrain components are not included and must be selected for your specific build.

How many of these do I need for one engine?
This cylinder head is sold individually. Two are required for a complete V8 engine.

What size are the intake runners and combustion chambers?
260cc rectangular intake runners with 68.4cc heart-shaped combustion chambers.

Can I use a cathedral-port intake manifold with this head?
No. A cathedral-port intake will not match these heads. Use a compatible LS3-style rectangular-port intake manifold.

What is a Emissions-Controlled Vehicle?
"An emissions-controlled vehicle is any vehicle equipped with a factory-installed emissions control system designed to reduce air pollution. These systems include catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valves, and diesel particulate filters (DPF). Most vehicles manufactured after 1975 are considered emissions-controlled and must comply with federal and state emissions laws when used on public roads."
