Chevy big block engines with a two-piece rear main seal need a rear-sump pan built to match that seal design and passenger-side dipstick location — this chrome-plated steel pan is built for exactly that application. It's designed for Chevrolet big block V8 Gen. II (Mark IV) engines, including 366, 396, 402, 427, and 454 cubic-inch displacements, and fits most big block applications using a two-piece rear main seal produced up through 1990.

The pan holds 4 quarts and includes internal baffling to help manage oil movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering. It uses a wet-sump design with the sump located at the rear of the pan, and a 1/2"-20 drain plug thread with the drain plug included. The gasket, oil pickup, and dipstick are not included and will need to be sourced separately to complete installation.
